Your sentences are yours.

LinguaMind only works if you paste things you actually wrote and read. That privilege comes with obligations. Here's what we do with what you share, what we don't, where it lives, and how to take it with you.

i. The two-column promise

The honest version, on one screen.

What we do
  • Process the text you paste to extract vocabulary. Stored against your account so your course persists.
  • Use Sign in with Apple for a stable, opaque user ID. Name and email only if you choose to share them.
  • Receive anonymous crash logs from Apple's standard diagnostics opt-in.
  • Keep your vocab graph exportable any time — Anki .apkg or portable JSON, on demand.
× What we don't
  • No advertising SDKs. No tracking pixels, no IDFA, no fingerprinting.
  • No mic, camera, location, contacts, calendar, or photos. LinguaMind doesn't request these permissions, ever.
  • No third-party crash analytics SDK. Apple-only diagnostics.
  • No data sales. Not to brokers, not to partners, not for "research" — never.

ii. Where your data lives

LinguaMind is built on a stack of vendors. Here's exactly which ones touch your text and why. If any of them changed terms in a way we couldn't live with, we'd move — and the section below tells you what that move looks like for you.

Subprocessor
What it does
Region
MeDo
Runs the plugin runtime that stores your vocab graph and routes your text through the extraction step.
us-east
Anthropic
Claude Haiku performs vocabulary extraction and powers the AI tutor. No training on your inputs per API terms.
us-east
Cloudflare
Edge delivery for this website, plus D1/KV/Workers AI for the web app demo. No personally identifiable data at the edge.
global anycast
Apple
Sign in with Apple, App Store transactions, anonymous diagnostics. The usual iOS surface area.
global

We update this list before adding a new subprocessor. If you signed up before the change, you'll see it in-app the next time you open LinguaMind.

iii. Take it with you

The vocabulary you build inside LinguaMind belongs to you. Settings → Export my data produces a versioned JSON document containing every card, its source, its SM-2 review schedule (interval, ease, next-review date), and your full session history.

{ } linguamind-export.json

A self-describing, plain-text JSON file (schemaVersion: 1) that any tool — yours, Anki via a script, a future LinguaMind, or just your own archive — can read.

Direct Anki .apkg export is on the roadmap. Until it lands, the JSON contains everything needed to reconstruct an Anki deck.

iv. If we ever vanish

Most products don't tell you this part. Here's our commitment, in writing, before we need it:

If LinguaMind is ever shut down, sunset, or acquired in a way that materially changes these terms, we will give you at least 60 days' notice, a one-click export of your full vocab graph, and a hard delete of everything we hold within 30 days of your last login. No dark patterns. No "data assets" sold to the next owner.

v. Delete everything

In-app: Settings → Sign out → Delete account. We remove your vocab graph, source library, and Apple identifier from MeDo's storage within 30 days. Anything in a vendor's logs is purged on the vendor's standard retention window (Anthropic: 30d; Apple diagnostics: opt-in only).

Can't reach Settings? Email the address below from your Apple ID and we'll process the deletion manually.

vi. Talk to a human

Direct line hello@trylinguamind.app

Privacy questions, deletion requests, vendor changes you want to be notified of in advance — same address. Usually a reply within 48 hours.

vii. The legal version

This page is the plain-English summary. The full, legally-binding privacy policy lives at /privacy and is the authoritative document if any phrasing here conflicts with it.
